Calculation Methodology

This calculator uses the 2025 IRS Standard Mileage Rate (67 cents per mile) for deduction calculations. Self-Employment Tax is calculated based on Schedule SE (Form 1040) logic: 15.3% tax on 92.35% of net earnings from self-employment. Reference: IRS Publication 463.
